Jiyun grew up in Beaverton, Oregon, where she also tattooed for 2 years before moving to her new home at Esoteric Tattoo. Before tattooing, she was a consistent presence in Portland's bustling service industry, developing a passion for getting to know new, interesting, and diverse personalities each day. Building community and sharing in people's lives has become a priority over the years for Jiyun, and she's thrilled to bring that energy to Esoteric. As a BFA graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design, Jiyun has always wanted to combine her love of art with her unique ability to make people feel confident and at ease in nearly any situation. Her journey into the world of tattooing involved studying cosmetic tattooing during a transitional period in her career. Emerging with a new license and skills in a brand new industry, she was ready to bring her trademark cheer and bright personality to a whole new clientele. Unsurprisingly, it wasn't long before she drifted from cosmetic to artistic tattooing. She hasn't looked back since.

General: She prefers in-person consultations for larger pieces, but is able to consult by phone/video for any smaller size work. She is happy to do walk-ins, pending availability. She has a $100 minimum.
Priority Projects: Color-intensive realism projects, cash customers will be considered first.
